Symposium Technical Description
This year’s A.C. Eringen Medal Symposium will be held in honor of Professor Gang Chen from the Mechanical Engineering Department of MIT for his seminal contributions to the understanding of nanoscale transport and energy conversion phenomena, and their applications in energy storage and conversion, and thermal management. We invite papers in both fundamentals and technological applications of nanoscale transport, both theoretical, experimental and system studies. Specifically, we invite the papers from the following areas: a) nanoscale heat conduction and thermoelectrics; b) near-field thermal radiation and solar utilization; c) Exploiting nanoscale transport for technological applications including energy conversion, desalination, and thermal management; d). General discussion on future research and education needs in nanoscale transport.
Presentations are by invitation only.
