College Park

Airports
College Park, MD, is conveniently located near three major airports that serve the Washington, D.C., area:
- Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI)
- Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA)
- Washington-Dulles International Airport (IAD)
Travel times from these airports to College Park, MD, range from approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour. Area airports and UMD are linked by several transportation options: the Washington Metrorail (“Metro”) and Metrobus, airport shuttles, and taxis. Metro service connects the airports to the university (BWI, by rail and B30 bus; IAD, by metro rail plus 5A bus; DCA, by metro rail).
Rental cars are available at all three airports.
Ground Transportation
The Washington Metro connects downtown Washington, D.C., and the College Park Metro station located off of the Green Line.
By Train
AMTRAK offers train service to Washington’s Union Station and nearby New Carrollton, MD. From either station you can then take the Washington Metro or a taxi to College Park.
